SYNOPSIS:

Considering herself as a successful novelist and screenwriter in her daydreams, actually Roay is not in good terms with her husband, Jahangir. She attends screenwriting classess, while he always quarrels with her. After continual conflicts, Roya leaves home for her mother's house eventually. Director's View:

Iranian cinema, I suppose, basically depends on auteur films; all the triumphs of our cinema, I mean, are laid in the films in which filmmakers expressed their own ideas. In this film, I have expressed some ideas and ideologies and may be for the first time, utilized a folktale in a film directly in characters' everyday lives. Totally, in PAPER WITH NO LINES, there is no distinction between imagination and reality - as it is in our actual lives.
