Synopsis:

A young man leaves his native city of Isfahan and takes refuge in the capital city of Tehran in the hope of forgetting sad childhood and youthful memories as well as his parent's death. As the narrator of the film he describes a recurrent dream which started a few months after the death of his father. The dream, in which his dead father tries to drag his son into Gavkhuni swamp, and the remembrance of his father's strange attachment to Zayandeh-Rood River, disturb the narrator.
